Job Title: Preschool Director

Established in 2018, Clinton Presbyterian Church Preschool provides a week-day preschool program for children aged 3-5. Our mission is to provide a safe, stimulating educational experience in a warm and nurturing Christian environment. Our program is a place in which the uniqueness of every child is valued and where children can grow in confidence and independence while also learning to care for and respect others.
Job Type: Part Time/ 16-20 hours per week September through May. Prep hours in summer months
Salary: $20,000
Responsibilities:
Leadership: Serve as a role model for teachers and staff, creating a nurturing Christian environment that supports the social, emotional, and spiritual development of children.
Staff Development: Provide ongoing support and mentorship to classroom teachers and assistants, fostering their professional growth and ensuring they have the tools needed to succeed.
Family Engagement: Build strong, positive relationships with families, fostering an open and welcoming community. Act as a bridge between the preschool and the wider church family, when appropriate.
Faith Integration: Collaborate with the Pastor and staff to create opportunities for children to experience and understand Christian values (chapel services etc)
Operations & Compliance: Oversee the smooth operation of the preschool, including human resources, quality assurance, and facilities management. Ensure that the school consistently meets NJ state licensing standards.
Financial Management: Develop, manage, and monitor the preschool budget to ensure fiscal responsibility and effective resource allocation.
Organizational Excellence: Demonstrate organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities to effectively balance administrative responsibilities with day-to-day operations.
Health & Safety: Ensure a safe, clean, and sanitary environment for children, staff, and visitors, working with the team to uphold health standards.
Vision & Growth: Partner with other staff members to continually assess and improve the program, ensuring its growth and alignment with the mission of the church.
Qualifications
Preschool Director Qualified for the State to NJ. MA in any field related to children or business or BA/BS in Education with one year managerial or supervisory experience
Federal and State Clearances required
CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
Proficient in Computer Technology and Social Media Management
Complete and maintain annual training hour requirements
Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and work indoors and outdoors. Must be able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 16-20 per week
Schedule: 4 hour shift, Monday to Friday, Morning shift
Work Location: In person
